Rahima Moosa welcomes new life

JOBURG – The beautiful newborns were the true embodiment of love for their mothers.

Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital was proud to introduce 21 new little lives into the world on 1 January.

The beautiful newborns were the true embodiment of love for their mothers.

First time mother, Nokuthula Makwabeni said her new baby girl, Nonkhululeko is the year’s first big surprise to her. “I was expecting her to come on 24 January, but I am beyond excited to finally see her.” Her baby weighed in at 3.8kg and she hopes her baby will know that her mother loves her beyond comprehension and wants nothing but the best for her.

Filled with love and great surprise some mothers had yet to find a fitting name for their new little loves.

Patience Nkomo’s third baby weighed 3,5kg and her baby’s birth was a complete surprise to her. “I was expecting to give birth on 21 January. All I want for my child is for her to have a great life with a great education.”  The yet to be named baby girl was born 12.05am.

Elizabeth Mlambo, has also not found a fitting name for her little champion. She gave birth to her little boy who was born at 12.25am and she hopes that he grows up to be someone great.

Sister at the hospital, Joyce Madisha said that every year the number of New Year’s births increase. She encouraged mothers to breastfeed exclusively until the baby was at least six months so that the baby is healthy. “We make sure to teach mothers of how to look after their babies.”
