MUST READ: Botanical Gardens set alight
EMMARENTIA – Two men apprehended in connection with a fire at Emmarentia Botanical Gardens.
According to the Intelligence Bureau page on Facebook, two men were arrested for starting a fire at the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens.
The botanical gardens were set alight on the afternoon of 3 October.
On the page it was explained that the area that was set alight was the conservancy dam where indigenous birds and ducks breed every year.
“Very sad to think someone would start a fire here,” read a comment on the page.
Residents and visitors to the well known botanical gardens took to Facebook to voice their anger against the unsettling event.
