Emmarentia comes alive
EMMARENTIA – Music lovers enjoy Women's Day by picnicking at Emmarentia Dam, listening to great tunes and enjoying great food.
Great music pulsated through Emmarentia Dam thanks to the much-anticipated Emmarentia Live.
On 9 August, music lovers gathered together under the glorious sun to enjoy a great picnic coupled with fantastic company.
The concert, which started at 10am invited guests to enjoy a whole host of iconic local musicians. From Mango Grove to Mi Casa, the music line-up catered to both the young at heart and the young and restless. Music lovers were spoiled by the likes of bands such as Freshly Ground, Good Luck, Gangs of Ballet and Bad Peter.
The festivities were not just for the grown ups, children could also let loose and have a ball of a time. Sounds of joy and laughter filled the dam as they had fun on the jumping castles provided.
The guests also enjoyed a bevy of great food from the various food trucks that were parked for their delight.
The dam was lined with picnic blankets and huddles of people just enjoying a great day with the ones they love. Lest we not forget the fantastic dance moves that guests showed off while their favourite bands were on stage.
Fun of epic proportions was clearly had by all who attended.
