Vicious dog attacks in Montgomery Park

This is just a warning to other residents to avoid the same potential situation.

I would like to alert residents of the suburb walking their dogs in the vicinity of Langenhoven Street that a bull terrier is often let out of a property in the street near the semicircle at the bottom part of the street, close to Hugo Naudé. Two dogs have already been attacked in separate incidents whilst being walked by their owners. Both dogs were on leads at the time, when the bull terrier escaped through the open gates of the owner’s property.

I faced a vet’s bill of R4 800 after my Labrador suffered a vicious attack by this dog on Sunday 17 July 2016, which resulted in our dog being rushed to an emergency vet. Needless to say, the owner of the dog refuses to pay, despite numerous requests.

This is just a warning to other residents to avoid the same potential situation.
