Two men were arrested by the Metro Police after they were allegedly found in possession of a stolen vehicle.
JMPD with the assistance of a tracking company managed to corner the suspects on Tana Road on 1 July. They were caught in a Toyota Quantum which was stolen in Protea Glen, Soweto, earlier that week.
Linden Police’s Sergeant Orden Masumpa said that the vehicle was found through a tracking device that was not yet removed.
“One of the suspects allegedly had three cases against him as well as a warrant for arrest for two possessions of suspected stolen motor vehicles and one case of theft of a stolen vehicle,” said Sergeant Masumpa.
The suspects appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on 4 July facing charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
