Pupils showcase their masterpieces

NORTHCLIFF – Abbotts College Northcliff hosts the annual Visual Art and Design Expo.

Abbotts College Northcliff presented the annual Abbotts College Visual Art and Design Expo. The event was also used to promote the work done by the Organ Donor Foundation, on 26 May

“Visual Art and Design has always been an area of specialty at Abbotts College and the school is very proud of their outstanding results and the amazing art that is produced every year,” said principal JC Engelbrecht.

He explained that the theme for the evening was Values in Art, which he said tied in perfectly with the goals of the organ donor foundation. “The value of life and the value we can add by becoming organ donors resonated not only in the art but was also highlighted by Dr Raita Steyn and Stacey Williams who encouraged pupils, parents and members of the public to become organ donors,” said Engelbrecht.

He concluded the highlight of the evening was the handing out of awards to the pupils who showed potential and who excelled in their respective fields.
