Linden triumphs again in Classic Clash first team rugby match
FONTAINEBLEAU –Rival schools battle it out over the coveted title of classic clash winner.
The much anticipated clash between Hoëskool Randburg[ and Hoërskool Linden saw Randburg becoming the overall victors.
The two rival schools competed in ‘boere sports’ such as netball, rugby, tennis, and hockey. Randburg won the day against Linden 43–20. Linden’s first teams won all of their games including the, first team rugby match.
The rugby match showed spirit between the schools, making rugby the winner of the day. Randburg missed many opportunities to get points on the board including a penalty in the first half. Linden used their chances to convert tries and stopped Randburg from any successful phases.
The final result saw Linden winning with 36–0 against Randburg.
Linden first team coaches Jaco Boosysen and Jaco Swart said it was a good game and felt good to win.
Randburg first team coach JP Olivier commented, “We missed opportunities and put a lot of pressure on ourselves by making mistakes.”
Olivier added, “A well done goes to Linden, who chose to use their opportunities and it ultimately won them the game.”
