UPDATE: Vodacom pulls their sponsorship from Our Perfect Wedding

LINDEN – A second major sponsor pulls out of Our Perfect Wedding.

Another sponsor has pulled out of Our Perfect Wedding [OPW] after the episode that aired on 29 November on Mzansi Magic.

Vodacom has withdrawn their sponsorship from OPW, which is produced by Linden-based Connect TV. The brand announced that regrettably the episode that aired on 29 November was directly opposite to their values and what the brand stands for. Absa was another major sponsor that pulled their sponsorship after the show went on air.

Fanie Mkwhanazi, who is a pastor, proudly revealed on the episode that he met his wife when she was a 14-year-old schoolgirl and he was a 28-year-old taxi driver. Mkwhanazi also revealed details of his sexual exploits with school girls and how he would sleep with three or four of them daily. This had South Africans angry and viewers demanded that something had to be done.
