FAIRLAND – Doxa Deo Randburg thanks the Fairland Police with bunny chows and drinks for their hard work.

Randburg Doxa Deo thanked Fairland Police Station for their hard work on 13 November with bunny chows and drinks.

Doxa Deo Randburg Pastor Hennie Viviers said police receive a lot of criticism and get very little recognition.

“We wanted to show the police that we appreciate all of the hard work they do for the community. Our goal is to make then feel special,” said Viviers.

He added that this act forms part of their project Acts of Random Kindness (ARK).

Viviers explained this project involves various acts of showing kindness to those in need.

“The vision of our church is to transform the city into a place where God’s love rules,” said Viviers.

Viviers said the church is also involved with other project involving orphanages and schools.

They are also involved in social and people uplifting projects.

He said the church is also planning to be involved with the police more frequently.

Viviers said he feels pleased that they could give something back to the police.

“It is more than a feel good feeling, it is more a feeling of achieving the responsibility we as a community have toward the police,” said Viviers.

Fairland Station Commander Colonel Mkhacani Maluleke said he is impressed to see the partnerships between churches and the Fairland Police and thankful for their kindness.

“There is no way forward without God’s intervention. Doxa Deo is a light in the darkness for the police,” said Maluleke.

Maluleke said he feels Fairlands is a blessed area and that the crime is as little due to the strong presence of God among the community.
