GALLERY: New Walkway recycling education exhibit revamped

VICTORY PARK– Delta Environmental Cenre launched rennovated walkway recycling education exhibit.

Delta Environmental Centre and National Recycling Forum launched the newly renovated recycling education exhibition walk-through on 23 October.

Chairman of Delta Environmental Centre Douw Macey said that recycling is a fundamental part of the environmental programmes. ” We have to make the youth aware of the need to recycle and protect our environment,” he said.

Guests go the opportunity to witness the informative display that was sponsored by the National Recycling forum along with other additional financial support from the Paper Recycling Association of South Africa, Tetra Pak, the Plastics SA and other investors.

The Executive Director of Strategy and Design Sean Kreusch said he had a team of five working on this exciting project and tried to create something universal for all ages to enjoy making it factual, visually interesting and easy to understand,” he said.

The project manager for the new walkway recycling education exhibition, Ursula Henneberry, said the planning took place over a few months where each waste stream was to make sure that they are represented properly in the exhibition.

Each section was compiled, designed and researched by each association to best represent them and their cause. Macey said he is really happy with the how the centre turned out. “They have really uplifted the educational recycling exhibition and we look forward for the public to enjoy the hard work that was put into this area,” he said.
