The chairperson of the Guild Cottage, George Suliali spoke about the importance of this fundraising dinner and how it was dedicated to their late treasurer, Neil Gardiner.

“Everything that was provided today was made possible by volunteers. I would also like to acknowledge the board members and thank them for their dedication and everyone else in attendance,” he said.

Guest speaker for the evening, Gauteng Finance MEC Barbara Creecy said she was happy to be part of the fundraising gala and to do her part.

“The Guild Cottage gives abused children their childhood back and ensures that they do not become abused adults. Together with the funding from the government and from society we can make a significant difference in their lives,” she said.
