WATCH: Dancing for 67 minutes

BLACKHEATH –The Fine and Country employees danced for 67 minutes to raise money for charity on 17 July.

In the spirit of Mandela Day, the Fine and Country employees commemorated the day in fine style on 17 July.

The company’s employees moved to the beat of a variety of music for 67 minutes to raise money for a deserving charity of their choice.

About 30 employees revealed their dancing moves on the dance floor.

For every 10 minutes that a person danced, R10 was automatically put into charity. According to Edgar Blomeyer who is the managing director and principal, dancing was the best thing to do in order to raise money. “We have decided to do what is easy and enjoyable for us, which is dancing,” he said.

Blomeyer added, “Because Nelson Mandela has contributed a lot, we would also like to uplift the community in the smallest way we can, and this is the perfect time to contribute and the focus will be on giving the money to the underprivileged.”

Blomeyer also said they are still to decide which charity to donate to, however, the chosen charity will start being their beneficiary.
