9 injured after taxi overturns in Montgomery Park

MONTGOMERY PARK - Nine people were injured after a taxi allegedly overturned on Thomas Pringle Road.

A major accident occurred on Thomas Pringle Street and Beyers Naudé Drive at about 5pm on 16 July.

It is alleged that a taxi over-turned on its roof with many passengers strewn across the accident scene.

Concerned Residents of Westdene (CROW) Frikkie Botes said, “At the moment all we know is that there are nine injuries and no fatalities.”

He added that people were asked to clear the scene in order to allow emergency services in to treat the injured people.

The cause of the accident is  still unknown.
