• Coffee and Chocolate Expo

Are you a coffee or chocolate person? Make your way to Montecasino from 16 – 19 July at 9.30am to taste different roasts and flavours to decadent artisan chocolates. There will also be an array of speakers who will be sharing their knowledge. You will also have an opportunity to temper chocolate – real Belgian chocolate with two of South Africa’s finest chocolatiers. Tickets are available online from iTickets for R90.

• The Ice Age Exhibition

Make your way to the Sandton Convention Centre for the Ice Age Exhibition. Children can enjoy different activities at reasonable prices such as, riding on slides, a virtual aquarium, face-painting stations, panda and polar bear carousel rides. • Little Shop of Horrors

• Nutty comedy hits Barnyard

Make your way to the Barnyard Theatre at Cresta Shopping Centre on 22 July for some hilarious comedy. The spotlight will fall squarely on crazy, as comedian Gino Fabbri brings his celebrated straight-jacket comedy Gino Fabbri is Completely Nuts to the Barnyard circuit.

• Winter Freak Fair

Make your way to Emperors Palace for an ultimate Winter Freak Fair from 16–19 July. You and your family can enjoy a spectacular experience with an eerie ghost tunnel and unearthly illusion shows in the Ring Master’s Lair, as well as an amazing goosebumpy fun fair.

Entrance fee is R45 per person.

• Sipho Hotstix Mabuse and Pops Mohamed

Sipho Hotstix Mabuse and Pops Mohamed will take to the stage at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City on 24 July at 8pm for a performance that promises to be the best in music and entertainment. The two iconic South African musicians are performing on stage in an effort to raise funds for Readers R Leaders, a community-based project that aims to promote a culture of reading among primary school children in disadvantaged areas. The funds raised by Mabuse and Mohamed will enable Readers R Leaders to teach pupils how to read, to purchase books, train volunteers and provide them with the necessary tools to provide one-on-one reading assistance and also set up book clubs in community centres.

• Beautiful

Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace will be showcasing spectacular fusion of beautiful showgirls, spectacular sets and costumes from 16 July until 9 August. This authentic casino extravaganza presents tasteful topless shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday late evening, parental guidance is advised. Entrance fee R150.

•Ndumiso Lindi at Lyric Theatre

You loved him in Colour Mine, now Ndumiso Lindi brings this new show, Diluted People – a comedy of diversities on 25 July at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City. Tickets are available at Computicket from R165.
