• Mafikizolo Home Coming

For the first time ever in the almost 20 years story, Mafikizolo have invited special guests to feature as they share their tales. Join them at the Globe, Silverstar Casino on 5 June from 8pm. Not only will the audience be entertained by amazing feature vocals, but a narrator will share the stage to share with Mafikizolo the story along with music.

• Trevor Noah in Johannesburg

South Africa’s favourite comedian Trevor Noah will be dazzling the audience with his one-man show Lost in Translation on 5 June at 8pm at the Teatro in Montecasino.

• Après Ski Winter Party

Levelthree Premium venue in Kramerville, Sandton brings you the Après Ski Winter Party in conjunction with The Cirque Series, that kicks off the after party with their third Cirque party – Cirque Du Snow. Join them on 6 June from 3.30pm until 11.30pm and enjoy Mark Beling and a line-up of well known DJs.

• La Traviata in concert

Gauteng Opera will be performing its first full-length opera in concert, Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata at the Wits Great Hall in Braamfontein on 6 June from 8pm until 10.30 pm. Opera enthusiasts are urged not to miss this rendering of one of the world’s all-time greatest operas.

• Battlegrounds Dance Competition

If you enjoy hip hop then make your way to the Blaigowrie Recreational Centre on 6 June which will start at 11am. Battlegrounds South Africa aims to create a platform for dancers in the country to compete and grow on an international level. From popping, locking, breaking and all-style battles to junior and varsity crews, open crews and monster crews. This competition gives street dancers from all over South Africa the chance to come together to compete for a chance to represent South Africa at the World Supremacy Battlegrounds Final in Australia.

• Latino Festival

South Africa’s 4th annual Latino Festival is finally here. Make your way to the Rugby Field at Mark’s Park Sports Club on 13 June. The event has grown exponentially since its inception, and this year will be bigger and better than ever before, featuring more than eight hours of entertainment and many other attractions
