Take bad drivers off the road

With reference to your column on the retesting of driver’s licences, I agree that it will be a disaster. Can you imagine the people in the first month who battle to pass, going into the second month and the first and second month going into the third month etc.

I can’t understand why they don’t just retest those, who have had accidents, keep on breaking the rules of the road and I would add don’t have road worthy vehicles.

Hope they have records of this.

It would cut down the number of tests and take those that cause the problems off the roads, as you say, the taxi drivers and I add truck drivers would head the list.

The problem is that we would have a country-wide strike, the same reason why they don’t have to pay for e-tolls.

As for road road signs, one has to learn them for your licence and after that you never see half of them again.
