Schulbasar a fun day out for the family

PARKTOWN – The third Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg Schulbasar atracts crowds.

The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) held their annual Schulbasar on 23 May at the school premises next to Sans Souci Road.

Public relations manager at the school, Savo Ceprnich explained that this was a very important day for the school as it also celebrated it’s 125 year anniversary.

“With the fact that we are 125-year-young we decided to host our third Schulbasar in style by inviting the famous SA band Shortstraw.”

He added that people who attended the day enjoyed the sounds of Shortstraw as well as a couple of local bands that also joined in on the fun.

One of the drawing cards on the day was the German beergarten that served local and special imported German Beers.

“Not only was the music great and the beergarten a big success but we also had something for the foodies as we had various types of German foods.

“The day was perfect and it was nice to see families and pupils enjoying it with us, I have to thank everyone who attended the day and those that made it possible,” concluded Ceprnich.
