Miss SA welcomes new judges

JOBURG – Miss SA 2015 welcomes former Miss World Anneline Kriel and Casper Bosman, who will be joining Kojo Baffoe and Bonang Matheba.

The judging panel for the Miss South Africa pageant has been extended with the appointment of two new judges, including former Miss World Anneline Kriel.

The pageant, Miss South Africa presented by Sun International in collaboration with Cell C, takes place at Sun City Superbowl on 29 March.

Two of last year’s judges return for 2015 – magazine editor, poet and writer, Kojo Baffoe and TV presenter and cosmetics brand ambassador, Bonang Matheba.

They will be joined by Anneline Kriel – Miss World in 1974 – and Bloemfontein designer Casper Bosman, who designed two of the gowns worn by Rolene Strauss when she took the Miss World title in London last year.

Regarded as leaders and trend-setters in their respective fields, they will be judging the top 12 contestants on an array of criteria, including their leadership qualities, communication skills, beauty and talent, physical fitness and a dedication to community service.

The dazzling Miss SA pageant will be broadcast live on M-Net (Channel 101) and Mzansi Magic (Dstv Channel 161) from 5.30 on the night.

Presented by Proverb, performers at the glittering show include Gangs of Ballet, Beatenberg and Sterling EQ with appearances by current Miss World Rolene Strauss, former Miss World Anneline Kriel and a host of former Miss SAs and other celebrities.

Surprise appearances from some of the Cell C Sharks rugby players will add to the entertainment.

The Top 12 Miss SA finalists who come from around the country are – Busi Mahlangu (Mpumalanga); Chanelle Sardinha (Gauteng); Danelle de Wet (Western Cape); Gugulethu Banda (Gauteng); Kim Wentzel (Gauteng); Liesl Laurie (Gauteng); Nicole Lamberts (Western Cape); Ntsiki Mkhize (Gauteng); Refilwe Mthimunye (Gauteng); Shanè Naidoo (Gauteng); Sihle Makhanya (KZN) and Taryn Morris (Western Cape).
