GALLERY and VIDEO: Baron’s album launch exceeds expectations

Excited fans and guests were clamoring with excitement as musician Daniel Baron launched his much anticipated album entitled Apollo at the La Toscana  private venue at Monte Casino on 12 March.

The venue was packed to the rafters as fans eagerly awaited Baron’s new set list of songs.

The MC of the evening was well-known South African comedian Marc Lottering. He amused the crowd with a slew of witty jokes and made a number of announcements before introducing Baron to the stage. “Daniel has very kindly asked me to welcome the crowd before his performance. I am very excited to be part of his album launch,” he said.

Baron kicked off his performance with his song entitled Alpha Metamorphia which appropriately set the mood of modern pop and rock that his latest album embodied. “The theme of space, the future, of being half-man half-machine ties in beautifully with what my new album and look is all about,” he said.

Baron enthusiastically greeted his audience and reminded them that they can achieve anything they put their minds to. “If you believe and have faith in yourself, you are truly indestructible. Failure does not exist. Anything is in your grasp, as long as you have the drive to pursue it,” he said.

Baron also performed his chart-topping single Indestructible, much to the delight of his attending fans. Celebrity DJ Vin Deysel made a special guest appearance on stage during the course of the evening.

Baron thanked all the sponsors that made the album launch such a big success. The sponsors included 94.7 radio, Uber, That Other Music Shop, Redken SA, Dermalogica, and Computicket.
