BREAKING NEWS: Husband shoots wife in front of three-year-old daughter

WELTEVREDEN PARK – VitalMed Emergency Services responded to what their spokesperson Tania du Toit explained as a horrific scene. According to Du Toit, they attended to a shooting at a residential complex on the corner of JG Strydom and Springhaas roads in Weltevreden Park, where they found a couple in a pool of blood. It is understood that residents in the area heard at least three gunshots from the residence during the night on 3 February.

The three-year-old who was with her parents at the time of the shooting, allegedly went out of her home and went to call for help from the guards at the security main entrance. It is alleged that the child told security that her father was hurting the mother.

Residents went to inspect the scene and found two bodies, a man and a woman, lying in a pool of blood.

It is reported that the deceased female had two gunshot wounds to the head while the deceased male had one. Honeydew Police are still to comment on the matter.
