Westdene’s wheelchair tennis stars welcomed in London

WESTDENE – South Africa's paralympians were welcomed by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson ahead of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters.

The mayor of London has welcomed the world’s best wheelchair tennis players back in London with a game of mini tennis at City Hall.

South African Paralympians and Westdene residents Lucas Sithole and Kgothatso Montjane were among those who were welcomed by London mayor, Boris Johnson, ahead of their battle to be crowned 2014 Master of their division.

An elite field of 20 players is in London to compete in the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre – the venue which was known as Eton Manor during the London 2012.

The 2014 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters is taking place from 26 to 30 November 2014.

Both Montjane and Sithole said they were ready for their impending challenges.
