The Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge

NORTH RIDING – The public is advised to use alternate routes because of road closures in relation to Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge.

The Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge will take place on 16 November.

Roads will be closed to accommodate the cyclists. Alternate routes are available (see map).

According to Ward 117 Councillor Tim Truluck, Jan Smuts Ave will be closed from Empire Rd to Bram Fischer Dr from 6.10am to 3.30pm.

“Don’t even think about crossing it between these times, and, of course Residents’ passes won’t work. Basically, just plan your day so you stay on your respective side of Jan Smuts Ave. But also pop down for a while to cheer on the riders,” advise Truluck.
