WARNING: Severe weather
Gauteng – South African Weather Service has given Monday a stormy forecast.
The South African Weather Service has issued a weather warning via Twitter, cautioning against severe thunderstorms which are expected to hit Gauteng at about midday.
“Severe thunderstorms are possible over Gauteng, the north-eastern parts of the Free State, eastern parts of the North-West Province, Mpumalanga highveld, south-western parts of Limpopo as well as over the extreme western parts of KwaZulu-Natal,” the tweet read.
Residents are advised to keep themselves and their properties safe by using covered parking, closing windows and making sure pets have adequate shelter.
