Law firm donates to special needs school

NEWLANDS - Special needs school receives generous donation.

The Coronation Training Centre was abuzz with excitement as lawyers from the Northcliff-based Ivan Maitin Attorneys visited the special needs school in Newlands.

Principal Phoebe Botman-Kerspuy has been the primary driving force behind the school’s creation and its continued success, so much so that there is a three-year waiting list for prospective pupils. Employing the aid of a multidisciplinary team, the school has outgrown its limited space and resources.

It was in appreciation for the centre’s work that the law firm donated computers for the centre’s computer labs. With the majority of pupils enrolled being vulnerable, it was reassuring for them to know that the wider community cared. The 170 pupils left the attendees with a sense of awe and appreciation.
