The inaugural I Heart Joburg music festival looks to be an unmissable event for Joburg’s music lovers.

Event organisers Steyn Entertainment announced that American hip hop star B.O.B. has been added to the already-exciting line-up.

With massive hits like Nothing On You (featuring Bruno Mars), Airplanes (featuring Hayley Williams) and John Doe, B.O.B. is no stranger to the music industry.

“B.O.B. will perform alongside fellow singer Jessie J,” said spokesperson Star Mkhize.

“Their smash hit Price Tag from 2011 catapulted both artists into megastardom.”

The inaugural festival, to take place on 6 September at Ellis Park Stadium, Doornfontein, will be an uninterrupted 12 hour “musical explosion” with the “biggest entertainment line-up to hit the shores of southern Africa.”

The first four of the six international acts announced are Jason Derulo, Jessie J, Fall Out Boy and B.O.B.

Crash Car Burn was the first local band to be announced as part of the line-up.

Tickets will be available from Computicket from 14 May.
