FootGolf Fiesta
ROOSEVELT PARK - A FootGolf event will be hosted to raise cancer and men's health awareness.
Creek 9 Golf Course in Roosevelt Park will host a FootGolf event on 23 November.
Organiser Giacommo Pinna said the event is in aid of Movember, a global charity movement that raises funds and awareness about prostate and testicular cancer and men’s health.
“The FootGolf event is an affiliated Movember event with the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) and Hospice. It’s a really good cause for creating awareness and raising funds.”
“FootGolf is played by kicking a soccer ball around a golf course with the objective of getting it into the hole in as few kicks as possible.”
The charity event is a first of its kind and Pinna anticipates a pleasurable event with prizes up for grabs.
Pinna invites everyone to participate and support the initiative.
Event details:
Time: 2pm (everyone starts at the same time on different holes)
Teams: Five players per team (boys and girls teams are welcome)
Gear and equipment: takkies or indoor boots
Cost: R250 per person (corporate packages available)
