Every last Saturday of the month Kingston Frost Park in Brixton opens up for a community park day where everyone is invited to participate in fun activities that help with upkeep of the park.

On 26 October residents and their children came out to build a ‘beastie box’ or a bug hotel for the insects, lizards and worms that emerge with the warm weather.

Heather Balcome from Random Harvest Nursery led the activity and taught the children about different insects and their habitat. Random Harvest Nursery also donated four new aloe plants to add to the varieties already in the park.
