Roosevelt, Krugersdorp, and Queens high schools have rugby fest

The schools played in a friendly competition at Roosevelt High as they prepare for stiff bouts when the rugby sports season opens in a few weeks.

Roosevelt High School was the scene of much excitement when they hosted Krugersdorp and Queens high schools for a rugby day.

The friendly games were part of ongoing preparations for the upcoming rugby season.

The U14, U15 and U16 second teams played against Krugersdorp with the first team battling against Queens.

“All of the games were fought with heart and the competition was fierce. All players did their best and we are proud of all competitors,” said Roosevelt High School deputy principal Henk Ferreira.
