Important Sophiatown CPF public meeting to be held in Montgomery Park on February 21.

The Montgomery Park sector of the CPF is hoping to elect a committee to become part of the solution to rising crime.

The Sophiatown CPF will hold a public meeting in order to hopefully get more volunteers to join them.

Gus Malgas, chairman of the Sophiatown CPF said, “We really want to have adequate representation from all of the sectors in the precinct to enable us to combat crime and to work with the police in doing their work in our communities. This begins by hosting a public meeting in Montgomery Park after renewed energy and support for the body has been forthcoming with rising crime levels.”

He said they are currently in the process of resuscitating the CPF after the Covid-19 pandemic stalled progress following the 2019 AGM.

Malgas said, “We invite all interested persons and their neighbours to join this event where we hope to form a committee that can lead this process.”

When: Tuesday, February 23, 2023
Time: 18:30
Venue: Roosevelt Park Bowling Club, Milner Ave, Franklin Roosevelt Park.

Gus Malgas can be reached for any queries on 072 433 6002.
