Founder Oliver Quambusch said, “Christmas is such a magical time and the singing of carols is essential to the spirit of the season. It is also a lovely way for us to connect with friends and the community as we all enjoy being together and having fun.”

He said it was vitally important to give back to the community that has been supporting the home’s important work for years, thus enabling them to give vulnerable children a second chance with a new family through their adoption programme and other interventions.

“Without our friends, many of whom have become family, our work would not have the reach that it does and this occasion is one way we try to say thank you and create a pocket of joy in our busy lives.”

Song sheets were provided so everyone could sing along when not munching on the delicious mince pies and sipping on the gluhwein which was on offer.
