Police investigate Westbury murder
Suspects left black bag containing weapons and live ammunition after car chase fored them to abandon vehicle.
Sophiatown police were called out to a murder scene after which a car chase ensued.
“The chase took place after police attended the murder scene in Westbury where the victim was shot and killed. Information gathering from members of the community on-site led to police giving chase after a suspicious car,” said Sophiatown police spokesperson Captain TJ de Bruyn.

The vehicle was eventually stopped by police officers where after the occupants fled the scene and dropped a black bag containing a shotgun and handgun and multiple rounds of live ammunition.
