Three people ejected following a collision

FAIRLAND – All the patients were treated at the scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.


A collision was reported on the N1 Northbound near the Beyers Naudé offramp in Fairland. The accident happened at about 4.41pm on Sunday afternoon.

Netcare 911 responded to the collision and in a released statement, Shawn Herbst from the communications office of Netcare 911 said that reports from the scene indicate that two vehicles were involved in a collision.

“All three occupants, an adult female and two male minors from the bakkie were ejected,” he said.

Herbst also said that the 10-year-old male had sustained serious injuries and required advanced life support intervention to stabilise him. The 12-year-old male had sustained moderate injuries and the adult female had sustained minor injuries.

“The driver of the light motor vehicle was not found at the scene when emergency services arrived,” said Herbst.
