Linden Police nab suspected Windsor drug dealer after finding drugs on him

WINDSOR – Sixty-six parcels of drugs found on man has landed him in jail.


Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer after they found a plastic bag full of cocaine and nyaope parcels.

The great work performed by the Linden Police Station dealt a massive blow to a suspected drug dealer. Thanks to the efforts of their officers, they were able to arrest and charge one suspect in their policing precinct and take more drugs off the streets. Spokesperson of the station, Constable Takalani Matumba, said the arrested suspect was arrested on 28 March in Windsor East.

She said, “Our police officers spotted a suspicious looking male standing outside a store near the corner of Duchesses Avenue and Beatrice Street. When he saw the police he immediately went inside the store and police followed him in.”

Matumba went on to say that police trailed him to see what he was doing and they saw him pulling out a white plastic bag from his pocket. “The officers saw him trying to put the plastic [bag] on a shelf in the store and that is when they approached him. They asked whether there were drugs in the plastic and he conceded.”

Police then proceeded to look into the plastic and they found sic medium-sized packages of cocaine and nyaope and 60 smaller bags of the same drugs.

He was immediately arrested and detained at the police station. He has been charged for being in possession of drugs.
