Hoërskool Linden hosts sports event
LINDEN – Hoërskool Linden hosts a sports event.
On 13 March Linden Hoërskool hosted Hoërskool Standerton in matches for rugby, hockey and netball. The sports event was part of the North West University series.
The fun yet competitive games between the two schools were played in the different sports fields at Linden Hoërskool from 14.30pm until around 19.00pm in the evening.
Marianne Gouws from Linden Hoërskool said, “This event is sponsored by North West University, the two schools will be playing against each other from under 14 team to the first time in each sport. It will be five times teams per sport.”
The results were as follows:
Rugby: U14 – Standerton won 32–17, U15 – Standerton won 17–10, Second team – Linden won 19–5, First team – Linden won 32–28.
Netball: U14 – Linden won 30–4, U15 Linden won 17–10, U16 Linden won 18–12, Second team Linden won 20–14, First team Linden won 33–16.
Hockey: U14 – Standerton won 1–0, U15 – Standerton won 1–0, U16 – Linden won 2–1, Second team – Standerton won 2 – 1, First team – Standerton won 4 – 0.
