VICTORY PARK – New learners participated in a three-day adventure camp to enhance leadership development and teamwork.

VICTORY PARK – King David High School Victory Park had their annual Grade 8 camp, an opportunity for these new group of learners to fellowship with each other and learn new skills.

The Grade 8 orientation camp at the school was held for three days at Camp Konka. The learners got a chance to meet their new class teachers as well as the Student Representative Council. The camp plays a part in integrating the new learners into high school dynamics, developing leadership and learning as much about themselves individually and group orientated.

The learners stepped out their comfort zones by going through a challenging adventure-based camp programme which aimed to bring out the characteristics of the individual and showed their ability to work together with their peers.

Grade 12 learner Joshua Dove who is a part of the Student Representative Council took part the camp with his little brother Ilan Dove, who said, “Orientation was great and really fun but it was special for me as I had my big brother there to help me and to lead me. We had such an enjoyable and meaningful time because he was there to guide me and show me the ropes.”
