Robin Hills Scouts ‘crush it’ at the Cliffview Crusher

FAIRLAND – The recent Cliffview Crusher proved no match for the youngsters of Robin Hills Scout Group.

The Robin Hills Scout Group had a day of fun showing off their scouting and pioneering skills at the Cliffview Crusher held at Cliffview Primary School on 13 October.

The inaugural Crusher event provided four different obstacle races for entrants of all ages and teams which took contestants through the school grounds and around the suburbs.

Rob Custers of the Robin Hills Scout Group said, “The Scouts erected a typical campsite with an entrance, table and tents to show off what happens on weekend camps and competitions.”

The Scouts also showed off their pioneering skills, the art of building structures using only poles and ropes. Three obstacles were created for the course and had contestants crawling on the ground, through tyres and across a rope walkway.

Custers added, “The knotting and pioneering skills were well exhibited, the Scouts also assisted with marshalling at the obstacles and got to see the great fun each contestant had overcoming the challenges of each obstacle.”

The Robin Hills Scout Group encourages youth to come and experience scouting and to grow to their full potential.
