Everyone is a winner at Dance Exchange competition.

BLACKHEATH – Dance Exchange studios hosted a major production to showcase the talent of their dancers at the Rodepoort Theatre

Dancers from a studio in Blackheath competed to become the best of the best.

On Saturday 9 June Dance Exchange hosted its annual dance-off. The event took place at the Roodepoort Theatre where over 50 dancers from the dance studio came out to showcase their talents.

The first group of dancers showcase their talents on stage.

There were different dance categories ranging from contemporary to hip hop, tap dance to ballet. The audience members were kept on the edge of their seats by the adorably cute performance of the 4 to 6 year-olds. The older and more experienced dancers wowed the crowd with their different and exciting dance moves and stunts while the ballerinas definitely kept the crowd ‘on their toes’.

Young girls have fun on stage while they entertain the crowd.

Audience member Lynette Moore said,

“I loved watching the little kids dance, it was so cute, but more than anything I was stunned at how they could remember dance moves and not go off tune or anything like that. I want to give a big thumbs up to the dance teachers and coordinators. They are doing a great job.”

Children between the ages of 4 and 6 wow the crowd.

By the end of the night, everyone could celebrate the event’s success and because of the fine talents of all of the dancers, everybody who participated was considered a winner.
