A musical narrative to keep you in the Christmas spirit

LINDEN – Trinity Methodist Church welcomes the community for a musical night.

The Trinity Methodist Church invites residents to attend their annual Christmas Cantara on 3 December. Gather your family and friends for a performance to remember.

Trinity Methodist Church lay minister Brett Mordaunt said a Christmas Cantara is a narrative musical item of voices with instrumental accompaniment, with various solos and chorus.

The choir has 25 members and practice once a week. Each year the event has a different theme and this year it is called Cantara: Christmas I love to tell a story.

“This narrative tells the Christmas story through songs. The choir who will host the Cantara has been practising for a number of months already. This an annual event we host once a year. We also host an annual Easter Cantara which is put on by one of our church choirs. We have been hosting two cantatas per year for more than a decade,” said Mordaunt.

The event is free of charge and all members of the public are invited to enjoy a heartwarming Christmas story. The Cantara is repeated once in the morning at 8am and at 9.30am.

“It’s a great opportunity to hear the full story of the birth of Jesus Christ and a perfect opportunity for residents to get together to share this occasion.”
