Help find missing Sophiatown man

SOPHIATOWN – Be on the lookout for a missing man last seen in Sophiatown.

A missing person alert has been issued for a Sophiatown man who has been missing since 12 October.

Non-profit organisation, South African Support Initiative, issued the alert and are urging anyone who has seen Petrus Hendrik Marthinus ‘Theuns’ Lombard to report information to the Sophiatown Police Station.

Private investigator for the organisation, Wendy Pascoe stated on the alert that Lombard was last seen at about 7pm on 12 October in Sophiatown.

The 31-year-old was wearing a blue and white striped shirt, blue jeans and neon green sneakers.

Lombard’s sister Lize has also taken to social media about her brother’s disappearance in the hope that someone has seen him.

In her post, she said her brother was an addict and anything could have happened to him. She is pleading with the community to keep an eye out for him. The post has since been shared more than 5 000 times on Facebook with more than 400 comments on the initial post.

The missing person description is as follows:

  • Age: 31
  • Build: slim
  • Eyes: brown
  • Height: 1.8m
  • Hair: brown
  • Weight: 75kg
  • Tattoos: Two graffiti tattoos on both forearms

Details: If anyone has seen or has any information on the whereabouts of Lombard, they must contact the Sophiatown Police Station on 011 670 6398 or 011 670 6300. Alternatively, Lize can be contacted on 082 836 1558.
