The 8 August marks International Cat Day, a day which was set aside in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
The day was created to celebrate one of mankind’s oldest and closest friend. As much as this is the day that one would shower their cat in affection and attention, some cats celebrate the day in style and class.
The following cats have the title of the three richest cats in the world:
Blackie
When Ben Rea died he left all his acquired wealth to his furry little friend Blackie. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, he is the richest cat in the world with a net worth of 25 million US dollars.

Tomasso
This cat’s story is a true rags to riches one. Tomasso was a stray cat until she meet Maria Assunta. Assunta, who owned homes and villas in Milan and Calabria, Italy, left her 13 million US dollars property portfolio and entire estate to her lucky cat when she died.

Tinker
Not as big of a net worth as the previous two cats but who wouldn’t feel good with an additional $700 000 to their name. The former stray was adopted by Margeret Layne, who upon her death left Mr Tinker 700 000 US dollars and a three-bedroom house.
