He said he went to their home and didn’t find any of his family members at home, despite the house being open.
He said he began his search party with a friend, checking open fields for bodies around the area as he started to panic.

After not finding anything, he went to the police to report the matter.

“I’ve been trying all day to get the police to come out but they told me they only have one vehicle for this area. There was only one female officer who really helped – we need more of her,” Naidoo said.

In great panic and frustration with how the situation was being handled Naidoo’s friend and a family member went with him to look at security footage opposite the family’s home.
Naidoo said the footage indicated a Quantum driving in and later leaving the premises on 4 June with an unknown person driving the family’s Mercedes-Benz after the Quantum, however, details around the abduction have not been confirmed by police.

The time was confirmed by The Pink Ladies Organisation, who indicated the family was kidnapped on 4 June at approximately 8.30pm.
While rumours have circulated about the abducted family being linked to three burnt bodies found in Centurion, Captain Kay Makhubela, Gauteng police spokesperson said he cannot confirm the information as a post-mortem has yet to be carried out in order to establish a link.

Northcliff Melville Times has since contacted the Sophiatown police regarding Naidoo’s claims and are still awaiting a response.
