Cricket, camping and chops

EMMARENTIA – Marks Park Cricket hosts its Bring-and-Braai Camp-Out along with a cricket festival.

What do you get when you combine cricket, camping and chops?

A very good time, that is for sure.

The Marks Park Cricket Club hosted its annual Bring-and-Braai Camp-Out from 24 to 25 March, along with a mouth-watering cricket festival at the club in Emmarentia.

Players pitched tents next to the pavilion and enjoyed some meat on the grid, in anticipation of great cricket in the morning.

“Of those who stayed over, the children played cricket and soccer late into the night. At 11.30pm we started watching the SA and New Zealand Test match on a laptop around the braai until everybody fell asleep.”
