Fairland police arrest four for robbery

BLACKHEATH – Four suspects arrested after they tie up shop manager and get away with money and goods.

A shop manager was robbed and tied up by four men at Blackheath Pavillion.
On the evening of 9 November at about 10.15pm, four armed males got away with money and consumable goods such as cold drinks and cigarettes.
Beagle Watch customer relations officer, Anne Wood said the shop manager was locking up that evening when the alleged suspects produced firearms and tied him up.

After the robbers had left with the stolen goods, the centre’s security saw that the shop had not been closed and decided to investigate. “When he got to the shop he saw the manager tied up.”
Beagle Watch officers were on their routine patrols when they were flagged down by the centre’s security for assistance. “Beagle Watch security then called the police and went in search of the suspects.”
The alleged suspects were then found on the corners of Pendoring and Dawn roads in a brown vehicle.
Constable Moloko Kgatla, of Fairland Police Station said that the four were then arrested and a case of business robbery was opened. The case is now under investigation.
