BRAAMFONTEIN - What started as a passive protest this morning has now turned violent. One student arrested.

Update: 10 October, 8pm

Protesting #FeesMustFall students today set alight a bus in Braamfontein. Smoke could be seen from all around the CBD. According to reports, the students first stoned the bus, and then returned later to set it alight. Police and Emergency workers were on the scene to extinguish the blaze.

It has also emerged that students took to the streets, looting stores in the Joburg CBD. A video posted by @Wendy_Mothata shows students breaking in to the Puma store in the CBD.

Some have however questioned whether the students were the ones responsible for the looting.
