The Linden Market uplifts the community

LINDEN – Local businesses are given an opportunity to showcase their products at The Linden Market.

The Linden Market will be back for their fourth event on 3 September.

Bibi Schwartz, the organiser of the market said it started in November last year and the market is a family event where children will be entertained throughout the day. The quarterly event will be held at Hoërskool Linden. “There will also be a Champagne Lane where there will be food stalls and drinks,” said Schwartz.

There will be stalls with clothing, craft beer, decor, antiques, vintage items, fine wines, live entertainment and other goodies. Schwartz added that all community members are welcome to come and experience the market. They usually cater for about 3 000 guests. “People travel from as far as Pretoria,” she added. The children’s activities will include a photo booth, jumping castle, face painting, skateboarding lessons and interactive drama, dance and singing workshops while parents can enjoy a day of shopping.

Community members with businesses are welcome to apply for a stall in The Linden Market to come and showcase their products. “We care about giving back and uplifting our community. We are trying to support local businesses and the local community,” she concluded.
