Three suspects who hijacked Ahmed Nawab on the evening of 16 June are still at large. According to the Johannesburg central police, the three suspects who took their victim for an hour-long ride were only disturbed by the tracker helicopter. If it wasn’t for the tracker company the car would have gone.
[Read the previous story: At the mercy of three hijackersThe police confirmed that money was withdrawn from the victim’s account. “While suspects were busy looking for a tracker in the victim’s car the tracker helicopter disturbed the suspects and they fled the scene,” said police spokesperson Sibongile Mnguni.
“We are investigating a case of a carjacking. The suspects are still at large,” she said.
