More maintenance interrupts water

BRIXTON - Joburg Water has planned water interruptions for the next two days.

The water supply across the City of Johannesburg is normal but planned Joburg Water service interruptions for maintenance are scheduled for the following areas on 23 March.

Brixton and Auckland Park: Henley Street and the corner of Henley and Artillery Street will be affected by water interruptions from 8am till 6pm and restoration will take place between 6pm and 8pm. Reason for the interruption is a new connection to a 150mm pipe.

Further interruptions will be experienced on 24 March in the Brixton area, namely Isleworth Street, especially on the corner of Isleworth and Fulham Street and Isleworth and Barnes Street, and the High Street, on the corner of High and Isleworth Street. The repairs will take place between 8am and 6pm. Water is likely to be restored between 6pm and 8pm. The maintenance scheduled for Isleworth Street is a tie in to a separate pipe and on High Street, Joburg Water will connect a new 150mm pipe.

Residents are reminded that level two water restrictions are in place and consumers are compelled to not water their gardens, wash their cars with a hosepipe or fill their swimming pools with municipal water between 6am and 6pm.
