King David Victory Park celebrated Tu Bishvat on 25 January.

Pupils from King David Victory Park Pre-Primary, Primary and High School all participated in planting seedlings on the school grounds to create awareness on the importance of protecting the environment.

Campus marketing manager Nirvana Rogers said that Tu Bishvat is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the New Year of trees where the pupils get the opportunity to celebrate how much abundance trees give us.

“Pupils from different grades celebrate Tu Bishvat in different ways. The nursery school planted grass, the Grade 1s planted parsley in pot plants and high school pupils planted trees,” Rogers said.

She added that the current water shortage crisis weighs heavily on society, and there is a responsibility on everyone to nurture and protect the environment.
