Construction begins in Melville
MELVILLE – The resurfacing of multiple roads in Melville is the first of many exciting projects planned by Caxton Local Media in partnership with the City of Joburg.
JRA began resurfacing Main Road, along with a few other roads in the area, last week and are busy resurfacing 7th Street and 4th Avenue this week.
Over the past few years Melville has become a tourist hotspot. It is home to some of the best restaurants including The Great Eastern Food Bar and The Leopard which were recently ranked among the top restaurants in Joburg by eatout.co.za.
And if you are not in the mood to eat out, the one-of-a-kind 27Boxes shopping centre provides a unique shopping experience where you will find hand-crafted items and a selection of boutique stores. Melville Koppies is also one of the area’s biggest attractions and a place where you can enjoy the outdoors while overlooking the city.
Caxton and COJ, with the support of the local community and businesses, hope to build on the recognition Melville has already received and create a truly world-class experience, not only for tourists, but for all Joburg residents.
