Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace will be showcasing a spectacular fusion of beautiful showgirls, sets and costumes, and runs until 9 August. This authentic casino extravaganza presents tasteful topless shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday late evening. Parental guidance is advised. Entrance fee R150.

• Cat of the Year Competition

The Southern African Cat Council will be hosting its annual Cat of the Year event on 8 August at the Randpark Golf Club. The event will honour the top cats that were shown countrywide during the 2014/2015 show season. The show will be open to the public from 9am until 2pm, and entrance is free.

•Tweak announces 10th Anniversary tour dates

Tweak, South Africa’s favourite band from the late 90s, kick off their once-off 10th anniversary tour in August with a series of shows across Johannesburg and Cape Town. The band recently reformed for a once-off single. Catch them on 14 August at the Weltevreden Park’s Rumours Lounge at 9pm.

The Say Ahhh hit maker and everyday man crush Trey Songz is finally making his way to SA. Catch him at the TicketPro Dome on 9 August at 7pm as he will be dazzling the audience with his performance.Tickets range from R650 – R1 195.

• Women of Purpose

Make your way to Women of Purpose conference in Brixton on 8 August at 30 Hampton Avenue from 8am until 5pm. The aim of the conference is to encourage women in the body of Christ to be women of purpose, women who live Godly lives for a God-given purpose.

•Total Sports Women’s Run

It’s that time of the year, and women are gearing up for the Total Sports Women’s Run Challenge. Join scores of women on 9 August at the Mary Fitzgerald Square, Newtown for the 5km Fun Run/Walk 10km run/walk.

• Ninth Annual Women’s Day Celebration

Make your way to the Glenburn Lodge in Muldersdrift on 8 August to celebrate the Ninth Annual Women’s Day Celebration. There will be lunch, auction and live entertainment. The celebration will start from 9.30am until 2pm.
